North Andover, like many nearby suburbs of Boston, offers a high standard of living coupled with natural beauty all around. Great local schools, a small population of about 30,000 and proximity to Boston (24 miles away) make North Andover a great place to live and visit.
For shoppers, North Andover Mall offers many well-known retail outlets, while locally-owned shops like the Rose & Dove Specialty Gift Shop and Dani Kaye offer a more quaint retail experience. Hungry for fresh local seafood? On the higher end, try the Elm Square Oyster Co. or the Joe Fish Seafood Restaurant and Bar. For a great local pizza, try Jimmy’s Famous Pizza, or if you’re in the mood for a burger, stop in at Burtons Grill & Bar.
As for recreation, like many of its small-town neighbors, North Andover sports a plethora of outdoor recreation opportunities. Stevens-Coolidge Place, once known as Ashdale Farm, offers 91 acres of luxurious grounds that were meticulously transformed into a European-style estate by the former owners. Nature-lovers can also take a long walk through the 194-acre Weir Hill Reservation, a public park, and around scenic Lake Cochichewick.
